Hey Crossett Families! We want to share with you a family fun event that is offered this weekend! We are excited to see our Eagles and their families enjoying time together in our community.

Attention 5th, 7th, and 8th grade Families. As we continue to teach our students responsibility and accountability, Mentor Teachers met with students to discuss iReady data and to set goals (6th grade students completed this prior to Thanksgiving Break). Students will bring home their documents. Please ask your student about this conversation!
Also, Winter iReady assessments begin Tuesday, December 2 for all 5th - 8th grade students. Please encourage your child to try his/her best to reach the set goals!

Thank you to the Drug-Free Ashley County Coalition and Judge Teresa French, 10th Judicial District Circuit Court, Division 5, Juvenile Drug Court for sponsoring our guest speaker, Laura Stack. Mrs. Stack presented to our students and community about the dangerous and life-threatening effects of marijuana use through her personal story of her son Johnny Stack.
Mrs. Laura Stack was introduced by our 9th grade DFAC representative Kayla Mondragon. In addition, members of Johnny's Ambassadors (CHS Students) assisted Mrs. Stack in presenting the Deadly 12 Facts about Marijuana use.
This was a very powerful and impactful presentation for our youth and community.

To Our Crossett School Community: We want to wish all students, families, and staff a safe and healthy Thanksgiving Holiday break. All campuses will be closed November 24 - 28. We will see all our Eagles and staff on Monday, December 1.

On Monday, December 1, Crossett School District will welcome Laura Stack. She is a nationally recognized speaker and the founder of Johnny's Ambassadors, an organization dedicated to educating youth, parents/families, and communities about the dangers of high-THC marijuana use. The Crossett community and all students 8th - 12th will be welcomed to attend. This will be held on Monday, December 1 at 10:45 am at the CHS Auditorium -- guests, please enter through the auditorium doors.

To Our 6th Grade Families: Please ask your student about his/her conversation with one of the Multi-Classroom Leaders today. As part of teaching students responsibility and reflection in their learning, the students met with school leaders to review performance on grade-level material and setting goals. Students in 5th, 7th, and 8th grade will participate in these conversations post-Thanksgiving holiday break. Thank you for your continued support! #ExcelInExcellence

Crossett Community: Are you interested in ways to further support the work of the Crossett High School FFA students? Here is your chance! There will be an Alumni & Supports Meeting on Thursday, November 20. Thank you for your support.

Help us bring joy, comfort, and a little extra sparkle to the residents of our local nursing home this season! The CHS Student Council is collecting items to brighten the day of our senior community members.
