Crossett School District will deliver lunches (meals for 3 days) Wednesday, April 1 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Please be watching for the buses. We miss our students. Please stay safe and healthy.

Per Mayor McCormick, all playgrounds at CES and CMS are closed. This is to help prevent the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus. The walking trail at CES and the football field track will remain open.

Crossett School District will provide free sack lunches to all children, 1-18 years old, on Monday, March 30th (2 days of food) and Wednesday, April 1st (3 days of food) from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the following locations: • Crossett Learning Center- pick up at the front entrance • Crossett Elementary School- pick up in the back bus drive • Crossett High School- pick up by the Sports Arena entrance • Fred’s Parking Lot-North Crossett • Crossett Youth Center-Dr. ML King Jr. Drive and 3rd Avenue. In addition, ALL regular bus routes will run from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on those two days, delivering sack lunches to designated bus stops.

Governor Hutchinson announced on Thursday that all Arkansas public schools would remain closed for onsite instruction through April 17 as a result of the continued spread of COVID-19 across the state. The spread of COVID-19 will be monitored by the Arkansas Department of Health and a decision will be made in the upcoming weeks regarding the return to school or a continued closure. Yesterday, our district served 543 meals to students. Today, the total doubled to 1,017! We want to give a big shout out to the food service personnel, bus drivers and classified staff who have assisted with making this possible!

Crossett Learning Center has been added as a location where sack lunches (breakfast and lunch) may be picked up at the front entrance for all children, ages 1-18 years old from 10 to 11 a.m. Other locations are: • Crossett Elementary School-pick up in the back bus drive • Crossett High School-pick up by the Sports Arena • Fred’s Parking Lot-North Crossett • Crossett Youth Center-Dr. ML King Jr. Drive and 3rd Avenue. The Arkansas Activities Association has suspended all athletic events beginning Sunday, March 15th until Monday, March 30th. This includes baseball games, softball games, soccer games, track, band, choir, or any other group/team sanctioned under AAA. Local practices and tryouts are still taking place, unless the district is forced to close by the Dept. of Education or Arkansas Dept. of Health. We will keep you posted as new details are posted!

3rd 9 Weeks Report Cards will be sent home with students on Wednesday, April 1st.

The CREATE U.S. Open Robotics Championship, scheduled for March 30th-April 4th in Council Bluffs, Iowa, has been cancelled. We had a group of 7th and 8th grade students who qualified to go, but we understand that the health and safety of everyone is more important! CSD is very proud of each of our Robotics teams!

Project AWIN and Arkansas Rehabilitation Services training to be held March 30th at CHS.

Special Olympics Arkansas has suspended all events until March 31, 2020 due to the recent global spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), this includes our Special Olympics Basketball event scheduled for Thursday, March 19th at the CHS arena. We hope to be able to reschedule this event sometime later when we are given permission by Special Olympics Arkansas.  Thank you for your support!
